GASTRONOMY OF BARCELONA

Barcelona's cuisine, as well as the catalan cuisine, is typically mediterranean and is based in natural and season products.

The recipes are simply elaborated but always with a nice touch, typical of the mediterranean cuisine. Always looking for the bouquet and showiness of the dishes.

The basic products of our mediterranean diet are always alive in the gastronomy of Barcelona. Fresh vegetables and fruits, oil of olive, nuts, fresh seafood and shellfish, legumes, aromatic herbs and a variety of delicious pastry.

The quality of these products are in perfect combination of our excellent wines and cava of the land: wines of El Penedes, Alella, El Priorat, etc.

All in all, the cuisine of Barcelona is tasty, excellent, appetizing and healthy.

IN THE RESTAURANT

There is a great offer of restaurants in Barcelona. As a difference to the majority of European countries, the time for lunch is from 13.30 to 16.00 while the dinner is from 21.00. Nevertheless, there are non stop kitchen restaurants.

Tips in restaurants are not mandatory but if you get a good service, you can pay 10% approximately in cash as a tip.
